What a journey the last twelve months have been! Recently, the SENSOTERIC consortium gathered at TU/e (Eindhoven University of Technology) for our highly anticipated second yearly meeting. Hosted by Eugenio Cantatore, these two days were packed with incredible updates, scientific discoveries, and major technological advancements.
Every partner took the stage to report on the progress made over the past year, and the results were nothing short of impressive. We discussed significant leaps forward across our core research areas, including:
- Advancements in the industrial processing of RFETs.
- Breakthroughs in modelling for devices and DTCO.
- The development of NDR- and NDT-enhanced RFETs on Germanium material platforms.
- Innovations in reconfigurable analog front-ends.
- Exciting new applications for bio-sensing through functionalized RFETs.
But the meeting wasn’t just about presentations. We had the incredible opportunity to visit the local laboratories, and we can safely say they are absolutely spectacular and truly state-of-the-art. Seeing these cutting-edge facilities firsthand was incredibly inspiring.
This environment naturally paved the way for several highly productive brainstorming and idea-exchange sessions. Sitting down together, face-to-face, allowed us to tackle complex project challenges and align our vision for the upcoming year with renewed energy.
Of course, a successful project relies just as much on human connection as it does on scientific research. After two intense days of work, we wrapped things up with a fantastic dinner all together. It was the perfect way to celebrate our collective milestones, strengthen our team spirit, and share some well-deserved laughs outside the meeting room.
A huge thank you to everyone who made this meeting a success. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue pushing the boundaries of smart sensor technology!
